Each year, NADFAS works in partnership with the Royal Society of British Artists to select high calibre final year ‘A’ level work to be displayed at the RBA’s annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. Hambleton DFAS submitted four pieces of art work by students from Northallerton College for consideration and were delighted to hear on 21st October 2013 that one of the entries, that of “On Ice” by Lois Ancell, had been selected for exhibition.
This is a real coup as this year, 42 Societies submitted 277 art works from 62 schools, with only 27 pieces being finally chosen. The exhibition will take place from 5th – 15th March 2014.
Paintings in any medium and any original work such as woodcuts, lithographs, sculpture or ceramics may be submitted. The successful students whose work has been selected for exhibiting are given the title NADFAS/RBA Scholar during the show and receive a certificate of participation. Of these, one student will be awarded the John Ingram Memorial Prize.
